LC-FACIL is a working group to facilitate the implementation of integrated sustainable urban development according to the Leipzig Charter. This working group consists of 7 cities: Leipzig, Gothenburg, Bytom, Kirklees, Rennes Métropole, Székesfehérvár and Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The main focus of the project LC-FACIL is to interrogate the current status of implementation of integrated sustainable urban development in Europe. This should be done via an interactive work flow between the Institutional Working Group of the EU (MS/I members groupp) and the City Working Group LC-FACIL. At the end of the year 2009, and during the latter part of the MS/I group works, interactions with the LC-FACIL group will be strengthened. This collaboration is an important part of the process, since the reference framework is not only completed by the cities experiences, but also tested during 2011 by the group LC-FACIL.
